March 2022 Mini Match

We celebrated the first days of Spring with fabulous dancing from our students and instructors to Daza Dance's in-house Competition. The Mini Match is a "competition" where students compete against themselves and receive a proficiency grading score. This event allows the participants to showcase everything they have learned during their private lessons. In addition, the Mini Match is a place to take their dancing to the next level.

As usual, the Daza Dance Team: Antonio Daza, Mario Recoba, Teresa Dushner, and Kamaria George, wore different hats, not just creatively but administratively, to ensure a successful event. Antonio was the MC, Teresa served as the scorekeeper, and Kamaria was the hostess. Maxi and Mario danced almost all the 350 heats and were extraordinary in preparing each student to dance their best on the floor.

In addition, Maxi's brilliant styling of every student and Alexis Williams's brilliant hairstyles were coupled with make-up provided by the rest of her beauty team. These special touches added sparkle and glam, giving extra confidence to everyone on the dance floor.

We were so excited to see our students Neetu Singh, Tatiana Carpenter, Faith Proper, Shelley Gleason, and Erin Moran make their Daza Dance Debut. A student's first performance at the studio is an extraordinary time when they accomplish their goals and see how far they have come.

Carol Zupancic, Regina Davis, Trinity Jordan, Paula Silva, and Katy Powell have experienced several events. They have grown much, displaying joy and excitement every time they step on the dance floor.

The Mini Match was judged by two accomplished dancers, performers, instructors, and judges: Kyle Larsen and Tamsyn Devilliers, who have long been a part of the Daza Dance Family

The Mini Match was the perfect time to celebrate the accomplishments of every student by doing what we love the most... Dancing! We look forward to our next Mini-Match event!
