"Heritage Classic" Competition 2021

Our Daza Dance Family is proud of our dance instructor Maximiliano Panesi and his student Heidi Braniff for the great work they have done at the Heritage Ballroom Classic held this past month of March at the Downtown Atlanta iconic Omni Hotel. Traditionally, this prestigious competition is hosted at the elegant Omni Grove Park Inn hotel in Ashville, North Carolina, but this year due to the Covid-19 restrictions it had to be moved to a new city.

Nevertheless, this year’s event, organized by the wonderful Colin and Joy Hillary, was filled with extraordinary dancers showcasing their passion on the huge dancefloor and many more amazing surprises. The Heritage Ballroom Classic is without a doubt, one of the top-rated Competitions in the nation, drawing highly accomplished students, professionals, and Ballroom Champions from all over the world.

Maximiliano and Heidi did a fantastic job on the floor representing the Daza Dance community, dancing to the best of their heart, and enjoying the experience to the fullest. Their discipline focus and love for ballroom dancing became something quite transcendent through their masterful precision on the dance floor and the splendor they exuded at every move.

Behind every outstanding student are incredible instructors like Maxi who know how to take care of every detail in order to accomplish the desired goal. Maxi not only brings out the best dancing in his students, but he also plans, programs, and provides a great level of expertise, knowledge, and professionalism to ensure that our students look and feel beautiful while having the best experience possible. And of course, all of this effort, preparation, and hard work paid off, as Maxi received the 7th place Top Teacher award at the competition.

At the same time, dreams are made even sweeter when you have a loving and supportive community behind you, such as our Daza Dance community, cheering your every success. Thank you to the rest of our dance instructors, students and friends who took time out of their busy schedules to join us in showing support to Heidi and Maxi.

The Heritage Classic 2021 was a special gift that provided us an opportunity to be, once again, surrounded by such a profound group of dancers (students and instructors) all united through the bond of ballroom dance.

We cannot wait for more opportunities to share the floor with other fellow dancers, while bringing diversity, humanity and peace through dancing… Congratulations to Maximiliano and Heidi for their amazing success:
