MAXI

Good Morning!

This week our fabulous dance instructor, Maximiliano Panesi, shares his reflection about this “rollercoaster year”.

Maxi explains that at the beginning of 2020, we started strong by going to the Snowball Dance Competition in Minnesota in January, hosting our very own in-house event called the Mini-Match in February, and then planning our “Back to Basics Showcase”, which was supposed to happen at the end of May. However, Maxi explains that shortly after “we were hit by the Pandemic, and everything looked dark and sad. Not knowing how the future will be, made us doubt if we would be strong enough to get through this big challenge. [Nevertheless], this difficult time, instead of bringing us down, brought us together in ways that we never imagine…”.

Maxi tells us that once Daza Dance was able to re-open, “…we designed an online lesson program…” especially catered for those students who were not comfortable enough returning to the studio for in-person lessons but wanted to continue working on their dancing goals. He adds that “…In the last couple of months, we [have completed] our Medal Test program with all of our students, and on top of all of that, we went to [the Ballroom Blitz Competition in Orlando Florida] and came back with the top Studio Trophy award…”; what a great way to end the year!

According to Maximiliano, 2020 gave us an opportunity to “…rediscovered ourselves and be reborn stronger than [ever] before…”

Thus Maxi, in representation of the whole Daza Dance Team, would like to say “…Thank you to everyone that is part of the DAZA Dance family and make this dream become a reality every day… Staying together everything is possible…”
