Today I got to do one of my Favorite things- (besides dancing), I talked about the mission of Daza Dance and the so needed mission of love and inclusion at this hour for Yelp.com in an interview with Antonio. Even though I was nervous the interview was basically a conversation, and as I was answering the questions I was thinking about how proud and happy I am to be connected with Daza Dance Ballroom Academy.
For part of the segment they filmed part of our class. We started with the East Coast Swing (what else) Next we did a Rumba and while I did well on most of it, I made a couple of mistakes while Antonio was facing a different direction. I thought I was off the hook and he didn’t see me, but when as we danced Antonio was turned the other way so I thought he didn't see me but when he turned back around glaring realized that he not only saw me, he has an almost supernatural ability to sense I when I am about to make a mistake – I felt like Tom Cruise in the movie “Minority Report”. As we went through Cha-Cha the note was to make bigger steps. Finally as we went through Salsa I felt fantastic. We finished the class by going through Rhythm technique by practicing walking and perfecting chase turns. I can’t believe that I am so close to Argentina, I can almost reach out and touch the ballroom floor. I can’t wait!!
