ONE!

As I entered Daza Dance there was a cool inviting breeze that reminded me of a beach in Bermuda, and I was filled with peace as I started rehearsal. Today I focused mostly on the Latin Dances taking about 30 minutes for my Rumba walk. After practicing the walks it breathed Life into all of my dances and I was able to connect on a different level.

I then went through Cha-Cha- salsa and East Coast Swing. I had a moment with Rumba during a Mark Anthony song; I got lost in the emotion – Mark Anthony has such a perfect voice! Next I moved on to smooth dances. Maxi pulled out that Bicycle contraption thing that improves posture and someone visiting the studio remarked that I looked like I was wearing a muffler! (Hahahaha!!!) I worked mostly on Foxtrot and Waltz progressive steps focusing on moving from the hip, I also worked on the Foxtrot Promenade turn. I am thinking about the song “One” from a Chorus Line, that seems like the perfect Foxtrot song, and one that I am taking to heart today.
