I am on a high today! It’s taking a
while for my web page to catch on, so I took some of my cards with me and sold
them throughout the day. As I made the walk from the train station to the studio today the air was crisp
and cool, and the sky was a an indescribable brilliant shade of blue that I
mixed together in a palette once.
When I got to the studio Maxi and Callie were
practicing a waltz. Callie was so beautiful and elegant you could feel every
emotion as she executed her movements with precision an ease. Likewise Maxi
fills any room with joy when he dances there is a sophistication and technical
excellence that transcends the boundaries of greatness. I find myself drawn into what they are
doing and for a few minutes forget why I am there. After warming up I did the
basic step for East Coast Swing for a few minutes, then I just started drilling
my choreography over and over. Finally I put on my headphones to listen to my
play list and BAM! It hit me! It's like a bolt of lightning shot through me and
I began to remember who I was and I wasn't just dancing- I was pouring my heart
onto the dance floor. This confidence came over me and I could perform the
choreography without thinking about the steps! I ended rehearsal on such a high
note!
