Antonio is back from Argentina, and I am so happy to see
him.
As usual when he returns from
traveling I am a bundle of nerves hoping that He can see the work I put in
while he was away. We jump right into the choreography and I am delighted that
he notices how I have improved.
Of
course, then we get to the challenging step this week which was the double loop
move. This is the move that reminds me of the hair comb from Salsa. After lots
of laughter between us and fussing
I finally figure out
my right from my left and get the step feeling truly accomplished.
Frequently in
our classes there is a deeper life lesson. Today’s lesson was to encourage me
to be my total self and not be afraid of being imperfect. For the first time of
my life I can breathe without walking on eggshells; there is such a freedom to
be who I am and not have to chase the expectations of others. Antonio has
impacted my life in so many powerful ways and draws out the best of who I am.
