Anyone that knows me knows that I was created to Dance.
Dance to me is so much more to me than just movement, it’s a way for me to
express what is in my heart. Growing up I was painfully shy so through Dance
and the Arts I was able to have a voice. Dance is also deeply spiritual to me.
There are times when I pray and don’t have the words to say and dance becomes a
prayer from my heart.
Today I was back in the studio rehearsing. Maxi and Masha
were warming up their students with smooth dances so I danced my choreography
to the Tango, Foxtrot and waltz music- doing East Coast swing to waltz was
especially challenging! I finally put on my headphones after warming up and had
a refreshed energy focusing on transitions in between the different steps. I am
truly happy with how things are progressing and look forward to learning some
more phrases on Monday.
