Today I
needed some concentrated time on the Smooth dances, so I grabbed the posture
bar and get to work .I start with the Waltz focusing on counts and basic
steps. Thinking about yesterday I repeated the name Hosea under my breath over
and over to keep count- and it actually worked! I was giggling hysterically with
a muffler on my shoulders, so I'm sure to some the inside joke between me,
myself and I probably looked insane to anyone watching. I go on to Foxtrot
retracing my steps to figure out how I missed the promenade turn yesterday. I
then focus on the basic step – If nothing else all my basic steps will be
fierce! For Tango It took me a few minutes to
get that new step to the back, and once I do it I feel great. After brushing up
on my smooth dances I make a seamless transition into the Rhythm dances. Today
I am feeling especially proud of my East Coast Swing and my Rumba continues to
improve. With Salsa and Cha-cha I was feeling a bit feisty so I added
some flavor to my movements. I feel like this is good rehearsal,
but the real test will be my next coaching session. Can I apply all of this and
connect with Antonio? Stay tuned!
