DANCE TO THE RHYTHM

Today I want to build on the momentum from yesterday's class so it's back in the studio today. Maxi is preparing a beautiful couple for their Weddings Day- you can see the love they have for each other. I am mesmerized watching them dance to a hypnotic song that sounds like something Enya would sing, and it almost seems wrong to take the ballroom floor while they are dancing. I have seen so many wonderful couples and I always want them to continue on after their wedding and be a part of our Daza Dance family. I truly hope I see them again.

It’s time to get to work, so after grabbing my muffler thingy I decide to focus on closing in the smooth dances. I focus on the Promenade turn for Foxtrot, and how to position my head during and after the turn. After I put down the muffler I start to go through the rhythm dances. I start with basic Salsa turns and basic steps Rumba. During the Cha-Cha I am just feeling happy, I have come so far in the Cha- Cha really in all of the Latin dances. Hip movements were challenging at best when I first started ballroom dancing, and now it is almost natural.

Today was a good day – I have decided to do something every day to help prepare me to dance, there is so much work to be done to get me ready for Argentina!
