
Today I took some extended moments to just be still. I feel
like I am being pulled in several different directions and I needed to rest my
mind. I don’t do this frequently enough, but every time I take the time to
pause and reflect I feel refreshed- if I can just do it long enough. Sometimes
I am so agitated I can’t be still longer than 5 minutes, other times I can sit
still for hours. It’s so easy to rush through the day going through the motions
that I forget to take in the beauty in each day and forget to be grateful. I
want to always be in the moment not overcome with the past or preoccupied with
the future but having a clear vision of how the past and the future influence
my present state of mind.
