Today
the Ballroom is full of laughter and almost feels like a party! Several
classes are going on, there are showcase rehearsals as well as people just
having a good time. Preparations are under way for a milonga that will happen
later that evening. Happiness is flowing like a fountain, and I am caught up
watching everyone interact and enjoy themselves. I love the fluidity as I begin
to rehearse weaving in and
out of promenades and chase turns around the dance floor.
I am drilling my choreography trying for me to work out what I have just
learned yesterday. I love the music selection and am adjusting to the different
rhythms and patterns. Even though I am rehearsing by myself Antonio is watching
and occasionally gives corrections – at one point I spent several minutes
practicing a turn only to find I have been turning in the wrong way but no
problem! Just like in life I turn around and start moving the right way.
